End of June = just prior to wall board and insulation

It has been a while, so I thought that I would add more pictures.  A lot of detail work has been completed.
Fireplace, TV, TV build in area, trim, etc.

The windows go in and the siding starts

The view out "Laurie's" window to the North is quite a bit different - the view remains in the West and we did not loose the window!

A big pile of boxes (the speakers for the ceiling) arrived - one big box was diverted to Laurie's house in Michigan, but we will get that back next week!

And then came the roof plus the interior starts to take shape

The above is the hearth
The ceiling is flat across - note the wall on the left - the bulge in the living room wall is gone!

And the walls keep going up

More nailing and pounding - We also had to get the trash bin emptied.

The old walls come down and the new go up

Framing continued today - but first the old walls had to come down - and the new shop framed!

The framing begins

Through the rain drops, the framing started with the sub-floor.

Basement floors and backfill

Today, the men from the concrete company came and poured the floors and back filled the foundation.  As you can see, there is a  big pile of dirt on the West side of the house that still has to be moved.  I wish that my daughter-in-law Deb was here to help me to spread it around with the bobcat this weekend.  Framing is next and is scheduled to start tomorrow.
